It has most definitely been a while since our last What We Wore. Since July and our Beach Bums edition, to be exact! Awesome enough, many of us decided to do some really creative Halloween costumes, and we wanted to share them with you~

I did ballet for the entirety of my childhood, so naturally I liked the idea of being a ballerina. I also wanted to win my school’s costume pageant, haha! The idea of being a dancer was sitting in the back of my mind for a long time, but it wasn’t until I saw (okay, a replica of) the Edgar Degas statue in person that I really settled on it. And I did end up winning best individual costume! So that’s definitely a plus.

Maya G. and her boyfriend as Misty and Togepi from Pokemon. On the left Togepi is on Misty's back, on the right Misty is hugging Togepi from behind.

My boyfriend and I had been trying to figure out a good costume and last minute we went thrifting and randomly thought of Misty and Togepi! We grew up with Pokemon and were thinking of Ash and Pikachu, but thought Misty and Togepi would be cuter.

Bridgette as an Abandoned Church Nun - left in the process of applying makeup , center is a mirror selfie, right is a photo showing the complete makeup look

Deciding to be a nun was a very last minute thing. I was going to be Harley Quinn – a version I drew up myself – but once I saw the funeral room in the Catskill haunted house, I knew I wanted to be in it. Since the nun-style dress is part of my every day wear, I decided to really focus on my makeup. Lots of black and dark purple eyeliner, shadow, and white paint mixed in with foundation.

Ebonni as Carrie - left she has her hands up in surprise, center she makes a surprised smile, right she rests her chin on her hand

For Halloween I was Carrie White. It was a last minute decision that I definitely pulled off!

Tessa as Log Lady from Twin Peaks - To the left Tessa poses with a log, to the right she is seen in a diner, fork in hand, pie and coffee in front of her

So Twin Peaks is probably my favorite show of all time. I love it so much I even have a tattoo of my favorite quote from my favorite character, the Log Lad. This year I wanted to go the extra step to flaunt my love, so for Halloween I was the Log Lady! I also found it to be a lovely tribute to the late Catherine Coulson, who recently passed away.

Katie as Miss Piggy - to the left is an angled, close-up selfie showing rad makeup, pig nose, and the red ring that accents her purple-gloved hand; to the right is a full body shot of the same pose
