Ophelia and I met on the internet.

We were both 12 and we read each other’s blogs and sometimes talked on facebook. And in some way we met up and now she’s visited me twice in Belgium (Where I live! And no I wont blame if you don’t know where that is located on a world map) and I came to London a few times as well. It all went quite quick! Or as Ophelia expressed it: ‘Isn’t it weird: we met on the internet and now we are making grilled cheese together?’. Here is a photo diary documenting our last two visits. Which were filled with thrift shopping, green houses, loads of High School Musical sing-a-longs, gallery visits and of course grilled cheese.

Dear Ibe,
I was researching for my own project when I found your beautiful story about your best friend. It’s so funny how easily I can relate to it, because I have met both of my best friends on the internet; but that’s not what I want to talk about. I wanted to ask you if you can give me an interview for a feature story I’m currently working on? …about well, finding friends on the internet .I think you are perfect for it and it will be such an honor and immense joy for me if you could accept! Please, let me know x
