Hi guys! I’m Jessi Jae Joplin…aka the new Fashion Editor here at The Pulp Zine.  I figured I should introduce myself before we become inevitable best friends. For starters, I’ve been working with The Pulp Girls for quite some time now. They are Sister Sites to my brand The Fabulous Stains, so when they asked me to be involved in their new project (The Pulp Zine) I agreed without hesitation (and with loads of excitement).

So you’re probably wondering: who is Jessi Jae Joplin? Well, I am most known for being the lead singer of the pop/rock band, The Ruckus. I’m also an active Fashion Journalist – contributing to sites like BUZZNET, E! Online, Audrey Kitching’s Lazy Bones Vintage…and now The Pulp Zine (to name a few)! I even have previous experience working alongside the fashion designers of one of my all time favorite brands – Heatherette and in the Fashion Editorial Department of JANE Magazine (one of the greatest editorials to ever exist, in my humble opinion).

I most recently started my own company called The Fabulous Stains with my best friend Bebe Zeva. It’s inspired by the iconic ’80s punk rock film Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains, a precursor to The Runaways-style film which shows an all-girl punk band that is unapologetic about being crass, amazing, and driven about getting what they want – with a focus on women empowerment. We have garnered a GANG comprising of some of the sickest ladies from around the WORLD (including grunge fashionista Violetta Ell and queen of Tumblr Molly Soda). We provide wardrobe styling and have even put together a collective vintage shop of clothing. Make sure to check it out!

Anyway, I am super excited to start this new chapter with The Pulp Girls.  Along with being a friend, I am such a huge fan and admirer of those gals.  They are one of my biggest inspirations, so to be apart of something as cool as this zine is such an honor. I can’t wait to make new friends and share some of my favorite fashion and style with you all.

xx, Jessi Jae Joplin
